Whistledown Development Road Names

Thanks for all of your suggestions for road names, we had a few interesting suggestions but the one that we would like to pick is the following:

The development will be called Whistledown, this keeps the name of the original farm living on.

The road names will be aircraft based to highlight the history of Upavon being designated as the Army Central Flying School, which was created in 1912. So the roads will have the names:

Vulcan Drive (This is the main road through the development)

Avro Close
Gloster Close
Hawker Close

Vulcan, because this is an iconic British Aircraft that was seen many times at the Upavon Airshows during the 1960s. The Avro 500 was used at Upavon as early as 1913, and were a major manufacturer of aircraft for many years after. The Gloster Gladiator again was used at Upavon during the late 50s and early 60s, and the Hawker Fury was used at Upavon between the wars and was the first aircraft to exceed 200 mph (322 km/h) in level flight.
