Temporary Closure of: B3087 (Part), Burbage and Easton (Ref: TTRO 6360

Wiltshire Council

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Closure of: B3087 (Part), Burbage and Easton (Ref: TTRO 6360)

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:
B3087 (Part), Burbage and Easton; from its junction with Westcourt to its junction with Ram Alley.

To enable: Tarmac to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated maintenance works.
Alternative route: via B3087 (unaffected length) – A345 – A342 - A338 and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

This Order will come into operation on 07 February 2020 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 for one day. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

Temporary Closure of: Footpath 06 (Part) Upavon (Ref: TTRO 6164)

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users:
Footpath 06 (Part), Upavon; from its junction with the A342 for a distance of approximately 350 metres in an easterly direction.
To enable: Footpath improvement works associated with the new development
Alternative routes: via Footpath 06 (unaffected length) – Chapel Lane - A342 and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
This Order will come into operation on 09 September 2019 and the closure will be required for 06 months. The Order will have a maximum duration of six months.

Did you know that Upavon Rushall and Charlton Link can assist with a variety of transport requirements, including:

  • Attending medical and other appointments, such as visiting a solicitor
  • Collecting important items - shopping, prescriptions, library books
  • Visiting friends and relatives in hospital and care homes
  • Making it possible for you to attend a club, day-centre or other social engagements
  • Assisting with unexpected situations when you can’t get somewhere yourself

Especially in rural areas where public transport is limited, this is a good way to help maintain your independence and quality of life. What’s more, you don’t need to be of a certain age to contact Link; anyone who needs assistance is welcome to give them a call, including residents who find themselves without transport on a temporary basis.

Whatever your reason for getting in touch, Link’s friendly team of local volunteers will do their best to help, whenever possible. If you live in Upavon, Rushall or Charlton please keep the above number to hand and spread the word by telling your neighbours.

It's a little over 12 years since the club was founded and it is going from strength to strength, so please come along and join us, it's a very nice social evening, there is no age limit.
